Join us as an Event Support Volunteer for the Raising the SAILS Gala on November 22, 2024, in Silver Spring, MD! We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable volunteers to assist with various event-day tasks, helping us create a memorable and meaningful experience for our guests. Your support will be invaluable in celebrating Stillborn And Infant Loss Support’s (SAILS) 5 years of service to families in need.
Volunteer Responsibilities Include:
- Assisting with event setup and breakdown
- Managing registration and welcoming guests
- Supporting vendor tables and assisting vendors as needed
- Providing directions and guidance to attendees throughout the event
- Supporting silent auction and raffle areas
- Ensuring a smooth flow of the program and guest experience

Time Commitment: Approximately 4-6 hours (includes setup and breakdown)
Location: Silver Spring Civic Building – Great Hall, Silver Spring, MD
Dress Code: Formal attire, purple or teal preferred (bring comfortable clothing)
Perks: Volunteers will receive light refreshments, be part of a meaningful community event, and gain hands-on experience in event management.
Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
