Join us on Saturday, June 27, 2026, 9:00am on Prathertown Road to celebrate and preserve the historic community of Prathertown for our Heritage Day!

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and community-minded Historical Artifact Organizer to assist with preparing, displaying, and monitoring artifacts and historical materials during the event. This role helps ensure the history of Prathertown is shared safely and meaningfully with all attendees.

What you’ll do:

  1. Assist with setting up and respectfully arranging exhibit space.

  2. Take before and after pictures of exhibit space.

  3. Help monitor artifact tables and ensure items remain organized and protected.

  4. Place signage in windows and tables.

  5. Appropriately place acrylic signs at each historic category.

  6. Cover tables with tablecloths.

  7. Distribute heritage day brochures.

  8. General Event Support.

Ideal for: Volunteers who enjoy local history, have an eye for detail, and take pride in helping preserve and present cultural heritage to the community.

Join us in honoring Prathertown’s legacy by helping showcase its history in a fun and educational way!

Please Note: Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own food and water. Breaks will be included, and SSL forms will be provided. Feel free to bring canned goods to donate to our food drive. Participants should include their best contact number to be informed of any changes to this service project. There will be no refrigeration available for food items. This volunteer position will be in a public space and not a private residence.

Please contact us indicating your T-shirt size, we reccommend wearing closed toe shoes.

Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours in a public space under direct supervision of the nonprofit organization. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
