Join us for the Explore Gaithersburg! Malcolm King Park Clean-up and Trail Mapping
April 2, Noon to 2 p.m., Malcolm King Park
The Gaithersburg Parks, Arts, and Recreation Corporation (G-PARC) continues its efforts to map the trails in the City, and has planned a family-friendly outdoor activity during Green Month that will include:
- Clean-up of the parks: volunteers will pick up trash along the trails of Malcolm King Park. Trash bags, pick-up sticks and gloves will be provided.
- Trail Mapping: volunteers will map the trails in Malcolm King Park. Volunteers will need a cell phone and walking shoes.
Those under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Meet at the West Side Drive entrance to Malcolm King Park (1200 West Side Drive, Gaithersburg). SSL hours available. Water/light snacks will be provided. Register by sending your name and number of people (and ages if under 18) attending to gparc@gaithersburgmd.gov.
Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
