Get outside! Clean-up the Park! Map Trails! Keep Gaithersburg Beautiful! The Gaithersburg Parks, Arts & Recreation Corporation (G-PARC) continues its efforts to map the trails in the City, and has planned two, COVID-friendly outdoor activities during Green Month:
- Clean-up of Morris Park: volunteers will pick up trash along the Muddy Branch Stream in Morris Park. Trash bags, pick up sticks and gloves will be provided.
- Trail Mapping: volunteers will map te connecting trails between Bohrer Park and Morris Park. Volunteers will need a cell phone and walking shoes.
Volunteers 14 years old and under MUST volunteer with an adult. All participants will meet at Morris Park in the main parking lot.
Advance registration is required. Participants will need a mask, sturdy shoes, and appropriate outdoor apparel. To register, send your name, age and the number of people in your volunteer party to GPARC@gaithersburgmd.gov.
SSL hours are available.
Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
