It could not pursue its mission of helping neighbors to “age in place” and promoting ‘community social connection’ in Mill Creek Towne without the active support of volunteers from the neighborhood.

Responsibilities

You may volunteer to do one or more of the following:

MCV's Board is a working as opposed to a governance Board. Board members must be Mill Creek Towne residents. Mill Creek Village’s service area includes the neighborhood of Mill Creek Towne on both sides of Shady Grove Road, with nearly 800 residences. The Village includes the townhouses on Mill Run Drive and the houses on Mill Crest Drive and Mill Crest Court (see our service area on the Montgomery County Villages Map).  Board members are expected to volunteer a minimum of 2-10 hours per month, including 2 hours at our Bi-Monthly Board meetings, although the number of hours is variable according to committee and other activities.  Board Directors serve two-year terms. Board members plan and participate in social activities, committees, and governance; recruit new MCV members & volunteers; and participate in the growth and success of this important community non-profit organization.  We'd love to chat with you if you are interested in learning more.
