Since tax year 2013, CCACC has provided free income tax filing service for more than 550 taxpayers. In 2018, we expect and hope to recruit more volunteers to join our 6th year of this meaningful community service to help more residents in our community.
To collaborate with IRS' income tax preparation planning, CCACC is scheduled to hold its training on tax preparation volunteers on Saturday, December 9, 2018, 10:00am -13:00 pm at the Center's site (9318 Gaither Road, Suite 215, Gaithersburg, MD 20877).
To prepare and assist those who are interested in volunteering their time to provide free tax filing service, IRS has opened its e-learning website. Please go to the website to review and study related information and knowledge. After passing the examination and receiving the certificate, you can become a tax preparation volunteer of VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance).
For 2018 tax season, CCACC is providing solutions to the low income families filing taxes return and answer income taxes questions.

Volunteer qualifications:
• Proficiency in Chinese and English or other languages
• Experience in Front Desk and handling paperwork
• Fundamental knowledge in taxation an advantage
• CPA Accountant can apply for Education Credit
for the service rendered
