Children's Global Readiness Academy

CGR Academy is a non profit, community service organization that promotes cross-cultural integration and education. A Prince George's County Maryland based organization, proudly serving families with limited resources and access to second language learning opportunities.

Volunteers in our program perform a variety of bilingual tasks.  In person volunteers assist teachers with Spanish and French classes for children ages 5-14 years old.  Volunteer activities include helping with homework, reading and pronunciation practice, as well as playing games in the target language.  Remote volunteers assist with lesson planning.  They perform activities like translating games and worksheets into the target language.  Remote volunteers also record classic novels and other materials to help students learn Spanish or French.
