Who We Are

XaLights believes in the compassion, enthusiasm, and creativity inherent in all youth. The mission of XaLights, Inc. is to honor the life of an amazing boy named Xavier by engaging youth in community service for other children and young adults, recognizing and supporting student dancers whose love for the art of dance brings joy to those they touch, and bringing comfort to youth in need of support and encouragement during difficult times. XaLights, Inc. was founded in 2015 in honor of Xavier Atienza who, in his short life, brought immense joy to all who new him through his love of life, compassion for others and in his love of and dedication to the art of dance.

What We Do

XaLights Inc. strives to empower young people to brighten the lives of other children and young adults through: The Giving Project, a community service project though which youth make and donate night lights to youth in need of comfort , and the Xavier Atienza Dance Scholarship, to support dedicated youth enrolled in a dance program at several Rockville area dance schools.
