Who We Are

The Women's Board now has over 100 members and has raised over 20 million dollars for MedStar Montgomery Medical Center (formerly Montgomery General Hospital). The Women's Board has supported our community hospital since its inception in 1920. This organization is the largest philanthropic group of MedStar Montgomery Medical Center. All funds raised support Women's Board pledges made to MedStar Montgomery Medical Center and the Women's Board Scholarship Program which supports students pursuing a degree in healthcare.

What We Do

The Women's Board of Montgomery General Hospital raises money to provide scholarships for students who are pursuing a career in the healthcare field and to fulfill capital pledges to the hospital for building improvements and equipment upgrades. This is accomplished by hosting fundraising events, operating a Thrift Shop, and the hospital Gift Shop.  Volunteers of the Thrift Shop assist with sorting donations, restocking shelves and organizing the Thrift Shop.
