Who We Are

Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts is the only national park dedicated to the performing arts and celebrates that part of our culture.

What We Do

Almost 500,000 people visit Wolf Trap annually to attend performances at the world-renown Filene Center, the intimate Children's Theater in the Woods, and to enjoy these programs in the natural beauty of the park. Volunteers play a critical role in the operations of Wolf Trap. Volunteer ushers, ranger, and first aid providers ensure that patrons have a safe and enjoyable visit. Volunteer groundskeepers are responsible for the creation and maintenance of an ever-growing, rich, and sustainable native landscape. Our 2 mile trail through the woods at Wolf Trap was largely cut and is maintained by volunteers-- it has become an oasis of nature in the midst of the rapid development of this area. We hope you will join the hundreds of area residents who help make Wolf Trap such a special part of our community.
