Who We Are

Washington Metro Oasis is a national nonprofit organization that promotes successful aging through learning, healthy living, and social engagement.

We offer adults age 50+ classes and volunteer opportunities to promote:

Lifelong learning (including lectures on subjects such as arts, humanities, current events etc.)

Health and wellness (including exercises classes, health promotion classes)

Community Engagement (volunteer opportunities such as tutoring, front desk volunteers, program committee, etc.)

What We Do

Volunteers at Oasis...

  • Work at the Oasis front desk
  • Work behind-the-scenes on administrative tasks
  • Help to plan Oasis programming as a member of our Program Committee
  • Serve as Zoom moderators for our online classes
  • Work with elementary school children through our Intergenerational Tutoring Program
