Jenn's Uncommon Critters

We are a 501c3 non profit rescue and education program in Frederick Maryland specializing in reptiles. Our Mission is: To provide a safe place for animals in need and an educational experience for children and adults with reptiles, invertebrates, and small mammals. Our Vision is: To rescue animals in need and teach people of all ages the value and care of animals of all species by emphasizing proper husbandry, responsible conservation of species and natural environments, and the unique features and talents that a variety of species bring to the ecological diversity of our world. We started in 2023 and will continue as long as we can.

Volunteers can learn about animals and their care. They interact with animals and participate in socialization of the animals. Volunteers help with general maintenance of the enclosures. They also help educate the public by showing how to properly interact with the animals. Volunteers hold animals during show, tell, touch presentations and assist with telling facts about the individual animals. Volunteers also can assist with building out enclosures and lots of other tasks.
