Sunflower Bakery

Sunflower Bakery enables pathways to employment for young adults and teens with learning differences through pre-employment exposure and workforce development training in Pastry Arts, Culinary Arts, Hospitality and related industries. Sunflower provides an inclusive, one-of-a-kind professional training experience that combines technical hard skills with soft skills of employment readiness.

Sunflower Bakery is seeking consistent volunteer support Tuesday through Thursday to assist within our Pastry Arts and Culinary Arts kitchens. Our kitchens function both as production environments and vocational training spaces for students participating in workforce development programs. Additional volunteer support would strengthen daily operations, improve workflow efficiency, and provide enhanced support for students and instructional staff throughout the day. The goals of this volunteer initiative are to: -Support kitchen production and operational efficiency -Provide additional hands-on support during student training activities -Assist instructional staff in maintaining organized and structured kitchen environments -Help reduce operational strain during high-volume production periods
