Springsong Museum

Rachel Carson Place of Wonder (dba "Springsong Museum") is a nonprofit organization in Silver Spring that is currently creating a new museum that will connect community and nature through the wonder and wisdom of writer and biologist Rachel Carson, who lived the majority of her adult life in Montgomery County!

Volunteers help us lead nature and history walks in Silver Spring, along the Northwest Branch of the Anacostia River and in neighborhoods where Rachel Carson lived and wrote her books. Volunteers can also help us create communications content and help us get the word out about Carson's local history and the future museum!
