Who We Are
Kindness Heals Village is a community-driven nonprofit inspired by the belief that small acts of kindness can create waves of healing and transformation. Our mission is to bring people together to perform acts of kindness that build stronger communities, foster human connection, and promote hope and resilience.
Our Mission: We aim to heal the world one act of kindness at a time by creating opportunities for meaningful service and volunteerism. Connecting individuals, families, and organizations to causes that inspire them. Building a culture where kindness, compassion, and generosity thrive. Our Vision is a world where kindness is a universal language that unites people of all ages and backgrounds to create lasting positive change.
What We Do
Volunteers play a vital role in fostering a community built on kindness and healing. Here’s what volunteers typically do:
1. Participate in Community Events, join organized acts of kindness events, such as the Kindness Biergarten or storm drain art projects. Assist in running donation drives for items like school supplies, toys, or environmental cleanup materials.
2. Support Local Nonprofits Volunteer for partner organizations like Shepherd’s Table, Stepping Stones Shelter, and Rainbow Place, providing support for their ongoing needs. Help assemble and distribute care packages or deliver casseroles through initiatives like Casserol for a cause.
3. Spread Awareness Advocate for causes such as environmental protection, homelessness, and mental health through creative projects like public art or awareness campaigns. Use social media and community networks to promote acts of kindness and volunteer opportunities.
4. Mentor and Inspire Youth Help students earn Student Service Learning (SSL) hours by coordinating volunteering opportunities. Mentor young volunteers, inspiring them to take initiative and contribute meaningfully.
5. Administrative and Planning Support Track contributions to meet goals, such as the President’s Volunteer Service Award certification. Help plan events, recruit volunteers, and manage logistics.
6. Direct Hands-On Activities Paint storm drains to promote environmental conservation. Sort and distribute donations for toy, food, or clothing drives. Facilitate activities like assembling thoughtful treasures for children at hospitals.
