U.S. Veteran Reserve Corps

The US-VRC is a civilian NGO with a US Veteran heritage. The US-VRC is a military structured 501 (c)(3) organization made up of civilians and veterans that are committed to community service. We seek volunteers from a wide variety of backgrounds, dedicated only to serving our country and our community. Our activities focus on serving Montgomery County Government agencies that are not fully served by other NGOs and agency specific volunteers. We also provide a surge support capability to our client agencies in the event of disaster preparedness and response. Our missions to date have supported the following MC agencies: • Department of Environmental Protection • Montgomery County Parks and MCNCPPC • Department of Homeland Security • Department of Health and Human Service • Local city festivals and events

Our work includes a wide variety of activities including: • Environmental initiative implementation • Park trail construction and maintenance • Emergency first aid services • Management of public access and flow in major events/festivals • Emergency food distribution
