Organization for Autism Research, Hire Autism Program

Hire Autism is a project led and run by the Organization for Autism Research (OAR). OAR is a national nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization formed and led by relatives of children and adults with autism spectrum disorders. OAR is dedicated to promoting research that can be applied to help families, educators, caregivers, and individuals with autism find much-needed answers to their immediate and urgent questions and supporting programs that offer to enhance their quality of life.

Hire Autism Navigators are trained mentors who provide autistic job seekers with feedback on resumes and cover letters and support them with job interview practice. These meetings are held remotely over the phone or video call. We are looking for professionals who have 5+ years experience in business, management, and/or human resources, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a desire to serve as a positive role model. Familiarity with autism is a plus but not required. The expected commitment is approximately 1 hour per week for 3 to 6 months.
