Who We Are
The Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) is a national network of community-based groups of volunteers—medical and public health professional and others—who assist their communities in activities that promote and strengthen public health, emergency response, and community resiliency.
What We Do
The Medical Reserve Corps supports a variety of necessary public health services during a crisis, such as assisting with mass distribution of antibiotics or vaccines, assisting in mass sheltering, and supporting many other vital mission areas. Volunteers may also serve a vital role by assisting their communities with ongoing public health needs (e.g., immunizations, screenings, health and nutrition education, surveillance and disease outbreak investigations).
The volunteers participate in emergency preparedness trainings including CPR, bleeding control and stroke identification and response training among others.
Volunteers also volunteer to augment the work being done by health and human services partners.
